Finding a balance
Finding a balance Pt. 1 - LC Coaching It's been a long time since I've used the AIESEC tag. Not that I haven't been involved in AIESEC during this time, I just didn't have anything to write about. Besides, I've been on the road (or should I say, air) for the last month; I had internet access almost everyday but I feel comfortable writing in my blog at home - I think all my blog posts so far have been made at home.
In life, we say often that we should find a balance - work and study, AIESEC relationships and non-AIESEC relationships, meat & vegetables, rock & pop. Here, I want to talk about finding balance within my role as LC coach.
Recently I've been classified by unseen forces (aka the PD team and a rigid interpretation of the AIESEC XP, based on "positions", not responsibilities) as an alumnus. When I applied for the AIESEC Symposium in early April I wrote down my role as Alumnus [slash] LC Coach. Display specifications
Viewing Angle: This is the maximum angle at which the display can be viewed with acceptable quality. The angle is measured from one direction to the opposite direction of the display, such that the maximum viewing angle is 180 degrees. Outside of this angle the viewer will see a distorted version of the image being displayed. The definition of what is acceptable quality for the image can be different among manufacturers and display types. Many manufacturers define this as the point at which the luminance is half of the maximum luminance. Some manufacturers define it based on contrast ratio and look at the angle at which a certain contrast ratio is realized.

Projection television
A projection television uses a projector to create a small image from a video signal and magnify this image onto a viewable screen. The projector uses a bright beam of light and a lens system to project the image to a much larger size. A Front-projection television uses a projector that is separate from the screen which could be a suitably-prepared wall, and the projector is placed in front of the screen. The setup of a Rear-projection television is in some ways similar to that of a traditional television, the projector is contained inside the television box and projects the image from behind the screen. ===============================

Display technologies
When the liquid crystals are in its natural state, light passing through the first filter will be rotated (in terms of polarity) by the twisted molecule structure, which allows the light to pass through the second filter. When voltage is applied across the electrodes, the liquid crystal structure is untwisted to an extent determined by the amount of voltage. An extremely large voltage will cause the molecules to untwist completely, such that the polarity of any light passing through will not be rotated and will instead be perpendicular to the filter polarity. This filter will block the passage of light because of the difference in polarity orientation, and the resulting pixel will be black. The amount of light allowed to pass through at each pixel can be controlled by varying the corresponding voltage accordingly. In a color LCD each pixel consists of a red, green, and blue subpixel, which requires appropriate color filters in addition to the components mentioned previously. Each subpixel can be controlled individually to display a large range of possible colors for a particular pixel. ===================================== invoice factoring pay day loan

Do I need a new HDMI cable/x.v.colour queries.
Hi,
I've recently upgraded my TV to a Panasonic (see sig), which includes x.v.colour, although not Deep Colour. Firstly, should I actually care about the lack of Deep Colour, or is it mere marketing hype?
Secondly, with regard to x.v.colour, how do I know if it is actually being implemented. The TV supports it, my BluRay supports it, but what I don't know is, does my CABLE support it, or do I need a new one, or is it a waste of cash.
I certainly won't be forking out a huge amount on a cable, as I've always been (rightly or wrongly) of the opinion that digital cables are all pretty much "much of a muchness", whereas analogue are worth spending a bit extra on. After all, bits either get there or they don't!
The cable I have at present was one that came with one of the copious amounts of Sky boxes I've had replaced, and so I've used that to connect the Blu to the TV. I have NO idea what spec it is!
Do I really "need" a 1.3a cable in order to get x.v.colour, or a better transfer, or will the current cable suffice?
Any help gratefully received, and hopefully the post made sense!!
Edit: In the event it is worth upgrading, there are quite a few sensibly priced cables on Play.com.. any recommendations? Cheers!!
Philips Plasma TV Repair
Hi,
I own a Philips 42PF9631D/10, it's about 3 years old, i have noticed over time that the Power button on the side of the tv was getting harder to push, untill last night when the actual power button pushed inside the TV, it is now impossible for me to turn the TV off without having to unplug it .
Anyway after a phone call to Philips who gave me contact for a local tv repair and speaking with them. they told me that this was a common problem (Thanks Then). but if i wanted it repaired it was going to cost £15.01 for the part but for some one to come and fix it was going to cost £105...£105!!
My Questions is that, would the replacement of the buttons on the side of the TV be someting easy enough i could do if i ordered the spare part? Or would it be cheaper to ask another local repair company to fit it if i ordered the part?
Thank you in advance for you help
Dell Inspiron 1525
For those in the market for a thin and light notebook model that features the well-liked Intel Core 2 Duo processor, has a gigantic hard disk and long lasting battery life, as well as an adequately sized keyboard and a decently viewable screen, all packed in a lightweight machine, the Toshiba Satellite U305-S2812 is perhaps the way to go.
At $1149, the Satellite U305-S2812 boasts of an impressive hardware profile for its price. Featuring a 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, generous 2GB of RAM, plenty of storage capacity with its 250GB hard disk, a 13.3? widescreen display, a dual layer DVD writer and wireless draft-N connectivity. The only shortcoming, perhaps, is the lack of dedicated graphics card since U305-S2812 comes equipped with Intel GMA X3100. However, the X3100 is Intel’s most impressive integrated graphics solution so far and truly gives ATI and nVidia a run for their money in the integrated graphic chips market.
Within an exterior of solid plastic build, Toshiba has managed to launch U305-S2812 with unique design and usability elements that appeal to a wide range of audiences from small business executives to students. The lid is Onyx Blue Metallic that almost looks black unless you get the light reflected from the right angle. Latchless designs are getting popular and this particular model also relies on its hinge mechanism for opening and closing the lid.
The U305-S2812 comes with an average to above-average keyboard and touchpad. The almost full-size compact keyboard is good enough for typing with its well-spaced keys. Many would love the fact that the keyboard for this 13.3? model has separate keys for page up and down functions, as well an almost double size Ctrl key sitting at the bottom-left corner for shortcut lovers.
Unfortunately, the keyboard does suffer from a bit of flex, and the experience with the distance with the fingerprint reader and the mouse buttons below the touchpad is not very pleasant. The touchpad itself is responsive but it has recessed edges that make it feel smaller than what it really is.
Toshiba Satellite U305-S2812 also earns some points for including dedicated media control buttons housed just above the keyboard and a separate button to launch your favorite browser. However it misses the now getting popular sounding speakers take some of the shine off the 1525’s entertainment appeal.
